Svenska Spahotell is an association for Swedish high-quality hotels with spa activities. Membership means a guarantee for guests that the spa hotel has a certain range of treatments and activities and that these are performed by well-trained staff.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The environment has always been a big part of our work and when the opportunity to become Nordic Swan Ecolabel certified in 2006 arose, we naturally took it! The Nordic Swan Ecolabel criteria give us a clear guideline in our environmental work and in what we can do every day to reduce the consumption of electricity, water and chemical products.

safehotels certification

Hotels that have received Safehotel certification worldwide are audited and approved according to the Safehotel safety standard. The standard has been developed by the world’s leading security experts.

Safehotel’s certification means that the guest’s safety is the focus and priority throughout their stay at the hotel. We promise safety in the form of continuously updated staff, routine checks of equipment, escape routes and communication between the fire department and the hotel.

History of Varbergs Stadshotell

How did Varberg get its Stadshotell in 1902 and what has happened to the hotel since then? Among other things, the hotel was one of the first buildings to get electricity, and the final bill for the entire Stadshuset amounted to almost SEK 450,000!
